Title
(EN) JOINING OF METALLIC WIRE FILAMENTS TO FORM FLEECES TO PRODUCE HONEYCOMB BODIES
Abstract
(EN) A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A FLEECE (1) COMPRISING METALLIC WIRE FILAMENTS (2), USING AT LEAST THE FOLLOWING STEPS: A) FORMING A LAYER (3) COMPRISING WIRE FILAMENTS (2); B) PRODUCING FIRST COHESIVE CONNECTIONS (4) BETWEEN AT LEAST SOME OF THE METALLIC WIRE FILAMENTS (2) USING A FIRST JOINING PROCESS; C) PRODUCING SECOND COHESIVE CONNECTIONS (5) BETWEEN METALLIC WIRE FILAMENTS (2) USING A SECOND JOINING PROCESS. THE INVENTION ALSO DESCRIBES CORRESPONDING FLEECES AND ADVANTAGEOUS POSSIBLE USES, FOR EXAMPLE IN THE TREATMENT OF EXHAUST GAS FROM MOTOR VEHICLES. THE MOST ILLUSTRATIVE DRAWING IS FIG. 3.
