[Problem] To provide a member that exhibits high load resistance and rigidity when connected to another member. [Solution] A member 1 has a transverse cross- section that includes a top plate 2, top ridgelines 4, vertical walls 3, bottom ridgelines 5, and floor flanges 9. The member 1 has, at at least one end thereof in an extension direction of the top ridgelines 4, a top plate flange 11 connected via a top plate ridgeline 6 and a vertical wall flange 10 connected via a vertical wall ridgeline 7. The vertical wall flange 10 and the floor flanges 9 are continuous with each other. The relation SR/SL = 0.13 = 0.13 holds true for the member 1, where SR is the sum of radii of curvature of corner portions of the vertical walls at ends of the top ridgelines 4 and the bottom ridgelines 5, and ΣL is the sum of widths of the top plate 2 and the vertical walls 3 at an end of the member. The member 1 is manufactured through a first step of manufacturing an intermediate formed article 27 that is provided with at least flange ridgelines 8 by subjecting a blank 26 to press forming and then shrinkage flange forming the flange ridgelines 8, and a second step of subjecting the intermediate formed article 27 to press forming to thereby manufacture the member 1.

[Solución] Se provee un miembro 1 que tiene una sección transversal que incluye una lámina superior 2, líneas de borde superiores 4, paredes verticales 3, líneas de borde inferiores 5 y bridas de piso 9, e incluyendo, en al menos una porción extrema en las direcciones extendidas de las líneas de borde superiores 4, una brida de lámina superior 11 a través de una línea de borde de lámina superior 6 y bridas de pared vertical 10 a través de las líneas de borde de pared vertical 7, en la cual la brida de pared vertical 10 y la brida de piso 9 son continuas, y en las porciones extremas de las líneas de borde superiores 4 y las líneas de borde inferiores 5, la suma total SR de los radios de curvatura de las porciones de esquina de las paredes verticales y la suma total SL de los anchos de la lámina superior 2 y las paredes verticales 3 en una porción extrema del miembro tienen la relación de SR/SL = 0.13. El miembro 1 se produce realizando un primer paso de realizar un moldeo por prensado en una pieza en bruto 26 para formar, de una manera de brida retráctil, líneas de borde de brida 8 y, de este modo, producir un producto moldeado intermedio 27 que incluye al menos las líneas de borde de brida 8 y un segundo paso de realizar moldeo por prensado en el producto moldeado intermedio 27 para producir el miembro 1.
