Abstract

PURPOSE: A variable focal length lens and a lens array having a DCM(Discretely Controlled Micromirror) are provided to prevent the loss of an effective reflection region caused due to an electrode pad and an electric wire and to correct aberration of the lens by independently controlling the DCM.

CONSTITUTION: In a variable focal length lens having a plurality of VSDCMs(Variably Supported Discretely Controlled Micromirror), the VSDCM is composed of micromirrors(2,5) and a plurality of variable supporting units(1,3,4) where the micromirror is positioned. The variable supporting unit determines the position of the micromirror. The variable supporting units are arranged at the lower side of the micromirror. The position of the micromirror is controlled by changing the height of each variable supporting unit.

(KO) 불연속 제어 마이크로미러 어레이 렌즈(Discretely Controlled Micromirror Array Lens, DCMAL)는 다수의 불연속적으로 제어되는 마이크로미러(Discretely Controlled Micromirror, DCM)와 구동소자를 포함한다. 구동소자는 DCM의 위치를 정전기적으로 제어한다. 유효 반사 영역을 증가시키도록 DCM의 하부에 DCM을 지지하는 기계 구조와 구동소자를 배치함으로써, DCMAL의 광효율이 증가된다. 공지된 미세전자공학 기술은 전극 패드와 전선에 기인한 유효 반사 영역의 손실을 없앨 수 있다. DCM을 독립적으로 제어함에 의해 렌즈는 수차를 교정할 수 있다. 각각의 DCM의 독립적인 제어는 공지된 미세전자공학 기술에 의해 가능하다. DCM 어레이는 또한 임의의 형상 및/또는 크기를 갖는 렌즈, 또는 임의 형상 및/또는 크기를 갖는 렌즈를 포함하는 렌즈 어레이를 형성할 수 있다.
