Abstract

PURPOSE: An optical coherence tomography using an active mode-locking laser is provided to eliminate a variable filter having a mechanical limitation because the scrambled signal in which a central frequency is changed is directly input. CONSTITUTION: An optical coherence tomography(1) using an active mode-locking laser comprises a light source(10), a beam splitter(20), a reference unit(30), a diagnosis part(40), an optical coupling unit(50), and a signal processing unit(60). The light source unit emits lights in which a central frequency is periodically changed by the scrambled signal transmitted from outside of a cavity chamber through the cavity chamber. The beam splitter splits lights having a single path emitted from the light source unit into first lights and second lights having different paths. The reference unit is arranged in the path where the first lights split by the beam splitter progresses, thereby reflecting the first lights. The diagnosis unit mounting a sample is arranged in the path where the second lights split by the beam splitter progresses. The optical coupling unit couples the first and second lights in which interferences are occurred by being progressed to different paths through the reference and diagnosis units. The signal processing unit detects and portrays data of the lights transmitted from the optical coupling unit. COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012

개시된 광 결맞음 단층 영상기기(optical coherence tomography, OCT)는 샘플의 영상 정보를 획득하기 위하여 능동형 모드 잠김 레이저(active mode-locking fiber laser)를 이용한다. 본 영상기기는 공진기 내부로 전달받은 변조(modulation) 신호에 의하여 중심 파장이 주기적으로 변하는 광을 방출하는 광원부, 광원부로부터 방출된 단일 경로의 광을 서로 다른 경로를 갖는 제1 광과 제2 광으로 분리하는 광 분리부, 광 분리부에 의하여 분리된 제1 광이 진행하는 경로에 배치되어 상기 제1 광을 반사시키는 기준부, 샘플을 실장하고, 광 분리부에 의하여 분리된 제2 광의 경로에 배치되어 제2 광을 제1 광보다 일정 시간 지연시켜 반사시키는 진단부, 기준부와 진단부를 통하여 서로 다른 경로로 진행되어 서로 간섭이 발생된 제1 광과 제2 광을 결합시키는 광 결합부, 및 광 결합부로부터 전달받은 광의 데이터를 검출하고 영상화하는 신호처리부를 포함한다. 따라서 본 영상기기는 변조 신호를 광원부에 직접 전달하여 기계적 한계를 가지고 고가인 가변 필터를 제거함으로써, 기계적 한계를 극복하고 비용을 절감할 수 있다.
