Abstract
(EN)

PURPOSE: To provide a liquid crystal display device of an IPS system which is wide in a visual field angle, is bright and is highly reliable by using low- temperature polysilicon TFTs.

CONSTITUTION: Opaque pixel electrodes are formed across insulating films in the lower parts of transparent pixel electrodes of comb tooth electrodes and further common electrodes arranged in the lower parts thereof and holding capacitors are formed between the common electrodes and the opaque metallic electrodes. In quadrisecting a pixel, the spacing between the pixel electrode and the common electrode is made into a nonequal pitch size and nonequal electrode width within one pixel, by which the stably operating and bright IPS liquid crystal display device can be obtained.

(KO) 빗살 모양 전극의 투명 화소 전극의 하부에 절연막을 사이에 두고 불투명한 화소 전극, 다시 그 하부에 공통 전극을 배치하고, 상기 공통 전극과 불투명한 금속 전극 사이에 보유 용량을 형성한다. 화소를 4개 이상으로 분할하는 경우, 그 화소 전극과 공통 전극의 간격을 1화소 내에서 부등 피치 사이즈, 부등 전극 폭으로 함으로써 안정 동작으로 선명한 IPS 액정 표시 장치를 얻는다.
