The present invention relates to an optical fingerprint recognition display and an optical fingerprint recognition display driving method which can sense a fingerprint at all positions on a display. The fingerprint recognition display comprises a display panel and a processor. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels arranged in a two-dimensional matrix form. The pixel includes: at least one subpixel to emit light based on a first signal received from the processor; and an optical sensor to receive light emitted by the subpixel and reflected from a fingerprint to generate a second signal. The processor determines a touch region on the display panel based on information on a position on the display panel touched by a user, transmits the first signal to one or more pixels included in the touch region, and recognizes the fingerprint of the user based on the second signal received from the pixels. 본 발명은 광학 지문 인식 디스플레이 및 광학 지문 인식 디스플레이 구동 방법에 관한 것으로써, 지문인식디스플레이는 표시 패널; 및 프로세서를 포함하고, 상기 표시 패널은, 2차원 매트릭스 형태로 배열된 복수의 화소를 포함하고, 상기 화소는, 상기 프로세서로부터 수신한 제 1 신호에 기초하여 빛을 내는 적어도 하나의 부화소; 및 상기 부화소에서 발광 되어 지문으로부터 반사된 빛을 수신하여 제 2 신호를 생성하는 광센서를 포함하고, 상기 프로세서는, 사용자가 상기 표시 패널 상에 사용자가 터치한 위치에 대한 정보에 기초하여 상기 표시 패널 상에 터치 영역을 결정하고, 상기 터치 영역에 포함되는 하나 이상의 화소에 상기 제 1 신호를 송신하며, 상기 화소로부터 수신한 제 2 신호에 기초하여 사용자의 지문을 인식하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
