According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, an electronic device includes: a housing including a first inner space and a hole communicating with the first inner space; a first wireless communication circuit positioned inside the housing; a stylus pen inserted into the first inner space through the hole, which includes a pen housing longitudinally extending and having a second inner space longitudinally extending between a first end portion and a second end portion; a pen tip disposed at the first end portion; a first button disposed in the second end portion and pressed; and a second wireless communication circuit positioned inside the pen housing and configured to wirelessly transmit/receive a signal together with the first wireless circuit; a processor positioned inside the housing and operatively connected with the first wireless communication circuit; and a memory positioned inside the housing, and operatively connected with the processor. The memory stores instructions wherein when executed, causes the processor to ignore a first signal transmitted through the second wireless communication circuit by pressing the first button, in the state that the stylus pen is inserted into the housing, to receive a second signal transmitted through the second wireless communication circuit by pressing the first button, in the state that the stylus pen is positioned outside the housing, and to perform a selected function, in response to the received second signal.
