일 실시예에 따른 영상을 처리하는 방법은 복수의 프레임들을 포함하는 제1 영상을 수신하고, 복수의 프레임들에 포함된 적어도 하나의 영역의 중요도를 지시하는 중요도 정보를 획득하고, 중요도 정보에 기초하여 제1 영상의 적어도 하나의 영역을 위한 그리드의 축들을 결정하고, 그리드의 축들에 기초하여 제1 영상을 인코딩하여, 제2 영상을 생성하며, 제2 영상 및 그리드의 축들에 관한 정보를 출력한다.
