본 발명은 셀룰로스 섬유 물질을 포함하는 산업 제조 공정의 수성 환경에서, 생물막의 제어, 형성된 생물막의 제거, 및/또는 미생물, 바람직하게는 박테리아 성장의 제어 방법에 관한 것이다. 화학식 I에 따른 화합물은 이러한 방법의 수성 환경에 투입되며, 상기 화학식 I에서, R1, R2 및 R3은 서로 독립적으로 수소 원자; 할로겐 원자; 하이드록시기; 아미노기; 1 내지 4개의 탄소 원자를 갖는 알킬아미노기, 알킬기, 하이드록시알킬기, 할로알킬기 또는 알콕시기; 또는 1 내지 10개의 탄소 원자를 갖는 아실아미노기를 나타내고; A는 2-티아졸아민; 2-프로펜니트릴; 2-프로펜산; 1 내지 4개의 탄소 원자를 갖는 2-프로펜산의 알킬 에스테르 또는 하이드록시알킬 에스테르; 또는 -CHCHCONR5R6 기를 나타내고, 여기서, R5 및 R6은 독립적으로 수소 원자, 1 내지 4개의 탄소 원자를 갖는 알킬 또는 하이드록시알킬을 나타내되, 단, 화학식 I에 따른 화합물은 3-[(4-메틸페닐)-설포닐]-2-프로펜니트릴 또는 4-아미노-N-2-티아졸릴-벤젠설폰아미드가 아니다.
