According to an embodiment of the present invention, a monitoring system includes a monitoring camera and a monitoring device. The monitoring camera transmits information of its own operation environment to the monitoring device. The monitoring device periodically predicts a subsequent failure date of at least one component according to the property information of the at least one component of the monitoring camera and the information of the operation environment of the monitoring camera, and alerts when the subsequent failure date of a prediction result is within a predetermined period from a current date. 본 실시예의 감시 시스템은 감시 카메라 및 모니터링 장치를 포함한다. 감시 카메라는 자신의 동작 환경의 정보를 모니터링 장치에게 전송한다. 모니터링 장치는, 감시 카메라의 동작 환경의 정보 및 감시 카메라의 적어도 한 부품의 특성 정보에 따라 상기 적어도 한 부품의 차후 고장 날짜를 주기적으로 예측하고, 예측 결과의 차후 고장 날짜가 현재 날짜로부터 소정 기간 안에 있으면 경보한다.
