Abstract
(EN)

PURPOSE: A water-based ink composition comprising a pigment and a polymer latex and new use of an amino-functional latex are provided which are useful as laminating and surface-printing inks.

CONSTITUTION: A water-based ink composition comprising a pigment and a polymer latex and new use of an amino-functional polymer latex and acetoacetoxy-functional polymer latex are described. The polymer latex may be a polymeric (polyamino) enamine(PPAE) latex or a mixture of a polymeric (polyamino) enamine latex andan acetoacetoxy-functional polymer(SAAP) latex. The polymeric (polyamino) enamine latex is a reaction product of surfactant-stabilized acetoacetoxy-functional polymer and poly(alkyleneamine). The inks are particularly useful as laminating and surface-printing inks. Methods of printing are also described.
