본 발명은 시료에 존재할 수 있는 하나 또는 그 이상의 표적 분자의 검출을 위한 방법, 기구, 시약 및 키트에 관한 것이다. 상기 기재된 방법, 기구, 키트 및 시약들은 핵산(즉, 압타머)을 검출하고 정량함으로써 시료 내의 비-핵산 표적(예를 들어, 단백질 표적)의 검출 및 정량을 용이하게 한다. 상기 방법은 비-핵산 표적을 대신하여 핵산을 생성하므로 넓은 범위의 원하는 표적, 특히 단백질 표적에 적용되는 증폭을 포함하는 다양한 핵산 기술을 사용할 수 있게 한다는 것을 설명한다. 명세서는 다양한 분석 검출 적용에서 압타머의 사용을 용이하게 하는 압타머 구조체를 더 설명한다.
