본 발명은 인광 발광성 금속 착화합물, 인광 발광성 금속 착화합물을 제조하기 위한 방법 그리고 방사선 방출 구조 소자, 특히 유기 발광 전기 화학 셀(organic light emitting electrochemical cell, OLEEC)과 관련이 있다. 본 발명에서 처음으로 선보인 청색 이미터들 중에 몇 가지, 특히 본 발명에서 제시된 이리듐-카르빈 착화합물(iridium complex carbene compound) 부류는 일반적으로 현재 존재하는 가장 파란(bluest) 이미터다.
