Abstract
(EN)

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for compensating a black level are provided to widen an image data expression range by maximizing dynamic ranges of images and express clear images by performing a clamping on the noise generated by dark current.

CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(S415) of initializing a frame and receiving a digital image signal; a step(S420) of analyzing pixel data of the pixel included in the frame, wherein the digital image signal includes the pixel data, and the pixel data includes range data of the range where the pixel is positioned, and pixel data; a step(S430) of creating a pixel data sum by summing pixel data of the pixel positioned in an optical black region; a step of calculating a normalized value by using the pixel data sum; a step of creating a matching graph from the normalized value; and a step of creating compensation pixel data corresponding to the pixel data through the matching graph. The compensation pixel data created by the matching graph has no loss of dynamic range.

본 발명은 이미지 센서에서의 블랙 레벨 보상 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로, 센서부로부터 수신한 디지털 영상 신호 중 옵티컬 블랙 영역에 위치하는 픽셀을 검출하는 옵티컬 블랙 영역 검출부, 상기 옵티컬 블랙 영역 검출부에 의해 검출된 픽셀의 픽셀 데이터를 픽셀 데이터 합계에 합산하는 픽셀 데이터 분석부, 평균값을 이용하여 생성된 매칭 그래프를 통해 상기 픽셀 데이터에 상응하는 보상 픽셀 데이터를 생성하는 보상 데이터 생성부를 포함하는 블랙 레벨 보상 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명을 통해 암 전류에 의한 블랙 레벨을 보상하고 암 전류에 의해 나타나는 노이즈 성분을 제거하면서도 다이나믹 레인지를 유지할 수 있다.
