PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector that, despite being reduced in size and height, has an improved robustness even during the fitting or after the fitting of a first connector and a second connector to each other.

SOLUTION: A connector 1 is a connector 1 comprising a first connector 10 and a second connector 50 fitting to each other, and the first connector 10 includes: an insulator 20 that has a fitting convex part 22 and an outer peripheral wall 23 surrounding the periphery of the fitting convex part 22; a first metal fitting 40a that has a second base 43a extending along a longitudinal direction of the first connector 10 and a mounting part 45a mounted on a circuit board CB1, and is attached to the fitting convex part 22; and a second metal fitting 40b that is attached to the outer peripheral wall 23. The first metal fitting 40a and the second metal fitting 40b are members different from each other, and the mounting part 45a includes a bottom face of the second base 43a facing the circuit board CB1.
