PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing optical lens which offers high imaging performance and meets the demand for extreme thinness and a wider view angle.

SOLUTION: An image capturing optical lens comprises, in order from the object side to the image side, a first lens L1, a second lens L2, a third lens L3, a fourth lens L4, a fifth lens L5, a sixth lens L6, and a seventh lens L7, and satisfies the following conditional expressions: 1.51≤f1/f≤2.50, 1.70≤n1≤2.20, -10.00≤(R13+R14)/(R13-R14)≤10.00, 1.70≤n4≤2.20, where f represents a focal length of the image capturing optical lens 10, f1 represents a focal length of the first lens L1, f3 represents a focal length of the third lens L3, f4 represents a focal length of the fourth lens L4, n1 represents a refractive index of the first lens L1, n4 represents a refractive index of the fourth lens L4, R13 represents a curvature radius of an object-side surface of the seventh lens L7, and R14 represents a curvature radius of an image-side surface of the seventh lens L7.
