PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing costs.

SOLUTION: There is provided a humidity conditioning element 10 with electrodes 12 and 13 provided on both sides of a membrane (base 11) made of ion-conducting electrolyte that performs dehumidification by electrolysis of water with one electrode 12 while generating water with the other electrode 13, wherein the electrodes 12, 13 are provided with catalyst layers 121, 131 formed in the membrane and current collectors 122, 132 formed on the catalyst layers 121, 131 and electrically connected to an external power source 1, and the current collectors 122, 132 have thin electrode layers 123, 133 comprising metallic particles.

【課題】製造コストの低減化を図ること。
【解決手段】イオン導電性電解質よりなる膜(基部11)の両面に電極12,13が設けられ、一方の電極12で水を電気分解して除湿を行いつつ他方の電極13で水を発生して加湿を行う調湿素子10において、電極12,13は、膜に形成された触媒層121,131と、触媒層121,131に形成され、かつ外部電源1に電気的に接続された集電体122,132とを備え、集電体122,132は、金属粒子からなる薄膜電極層123,133を有している。
