PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine which prevents that a magnet part contacts an armature coil.

SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine comprises: a rotor 40 having a cylindrical magnet unit 42 including a plurality of magnetic poles with alternating polarities in a circumferential direction; and a stator 50 having a multi-phase stator coil 51. The rotary electric machine is provided with a protective band 1000 which is a magnetic substance between the magnet unit 42 and the stator coil 51 in a radial direction.

【課題】磁石部と電機子巻線とが接触することを防止する回転電機を提供すること。
【解決手段】回転電機は、周方向に極性が交互となる複数の磁極を含む円筒状の磁石ユニット42を有する回転子40と、多相の固定子巻線51を有する固定子50と、を備える。この回転電機は、径方向において、磁石ユニット42と固定子巻線51との間に、磁性体である保護バンド1000を設けた。
