PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently removing moisture contained in pentafluoropropane.

SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing pentafluoropropane reduced in water content, which comprises (1) a step of extracting pentafluoropropane having a higher water concentration than a composition containing pentafluoropropane and water by distilling the composition as a first stream and extracting pentafluoropropane having a lower water concentration than the composition as a second stream.

【課題】ペンタフルオロプロパンに含まれる水分を効率よく除去できる方法を提供する。
【解決手段】(1)ペンタフルオロプロパン及び水を含む組成物を蒸留することにより、
該組成物より水分濃度の高いペンタフルオロプロパンを第1ストリームとして、
該組成物より水分濃度の低いペンタフルオロプロパンを第2ストリームとして、それぞれ抜き出す工程
を含む、水分含量の低減されたペンタフルオロプロパンの製造方法。
