PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulation tool which improves adhesion to a sidewall of a groove-like cooling water channel at the side of cylinder bores, is capable of selectively insulating heat in a location where heat insulation is required, and improves cooling efficiency in a boundary between bore walls of the cylinder bores and an upper part in the vicinity of the boundary.

SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a heat insulation tool for a cylinder bore wall comprising: a bore wall heat insulation part that is installed for each bore wall of each cylinder bore; and a support part which is formed along a shape of a groove-like cooling water channel at an installation position of the heat insulation tool and to which each of the bore wall heat insulation parts is fixed. Each of the bore wall heat insulation parts consists of a rubber member, a back face pressing member and an elastic member and in at least one location of an upper portion of the support part between the bores, a cooling water passage port is formed for making cooling water at a back side of the support part pass to the inside. The support part includes a guide wall in the vicinity of the cooling water passage port and includes an inclined wall at the back side of each bore portion of the support part. In each of the bore wall heat insulation parts, only the center or the vicinity of the center in an arcuate direction is fixed to the support part.

【解決課題】溝状冷却水流路のシリンダボア側の壁面への密着性が高く、保温が必要な箇所を選択的に保温でき、且つ、各シリンダボアのボア壁の境界及びその近傍の上部の冷却効率が高い保温具を提供すること。
【解決手段】各シリンダボアのボア壁毎に設置される各ボア壁保温部と、該保温具の設置位置の該溝状冷却水流路の形状に沿う形状を有し、該各ボア壁保温部が固定される支持部と、を有し、各ボア壁保温部は、ゴム部材と、背面押し付け部材と、弾性部材と、からなり、支持部ボア間部上部の少なくとも一箇所に、該支持部の背面側の冷却水が内側に通り抜けるための冷却水通過口が形成されており、該支持部は、該冷却水通過口近傍に、誘導壁を有し、支持部各ボア部の背面側に傾斜壁を有し、該各ボア壁保温部は、円弧方向の中央又は中央近傍のみが、該支持部に固定されていること、を特徴とするシリンダボア壁の保温具。
