(EN)

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for diagnosing disease status, determining drug resistance or drug sensitivity of cancer cells, monitoring a disease or responsiveness to a therapeutic agent, and/or predicting a therapeutic outcome for a subject.

SOLUTION: A method comprises determining a difference between a basal level or basal state of a molecule in a sample and the level or state of the molecule after contact of a portion of the sample with a modulator ex vivo, where the difference is expressed as a value which is indicative of the presence of a disease, the absence a disease, or the risk of having a disease.
