本発明は、入口通路と出口通路とを有する吸気ダクト構造を備える空気取込機械用の流路に通じる吸気部からの音響放射を減衰させるシステムに関する。出口通路に隣接して平面型の渦発生器が配置されており、空気取込機械の吸気部から放出される特定の音調の音響周波数と相互作用して、渦発生器において定在波を形成せしめる渦を生成する。定在波は、上流伝播成分を有しており、上流伝播成分は、音響反射器壁で反射されて、反射成分を形成し、反射成分は、上流伝播成分と干渉して、空気取込機械の吸気部からの特定の音調の音響周波数を減衰させる。
