PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organopolysiloxane graft polymer having an anionic group which is optimal for a hairdressing method for fixing a shaped hair style by cooling the temperature of the hair to less than 50°C after shaping the hair at a hair temperature of 50°C or more and has an excellent feeling of the hair after setting and has excellent set retainability under high humidity.

SOLUTION: There is provided an organopolysiloxane graft polymer which has an organopolysiloxane segment as a main chain and a copolymer segment as a side chain derived from an unsaturated monomer containing a repeating unit derived from an unsaturated monomer having carboxylic acid or a salt thereof, wherein the content of the organopolysiloxane segment in the organopolysiloxane graft polymer is 35 to 59 mass%, the content of the repeating unit derived from the unsaturated monomer having the carboxylic acid or the salt thereof is 4 to 17 mass%, the content of the repeating unit derived form an unsaturated monomer having a glass transition temperature of 150°C or more (excluding the unsaturated monomer having the carboxylic acid or the salt thereof) is 14 mass% or less when a homopolymer is formed, and the organopolysiloxane segment has a number-average molecular weight of 8000 or more and 200000 or less.

【課題】髪温度50℃以上において毛髪を形付けした後、毛髪の温度を50℃未満に冷却することにより、形付けした髪形を固定する整髪方法に最適で、セットした後の毛髪の感触及び高湿度下におけるセット保持性に優れるアニオン基を有するオルガノポリシロキサングラフトポリマーを提供する。
【解決手段】主鎖としてオルガノポリシロキサンセグメント、側鎖としてカルボン酸又はその塩を有する不飽和単量体由来の繰返し単位を含む不飽和単量体由来の共重合体セグメントを有するオルガノポリシロキサングラフトポリマーであって、オルガノポリシロキサングラフトポリマー中の、オルガノポリシロキサンセグメント含有量が35〜59質量%、カルボン酸又はその塩を有する不飽和単量体由来の繰返し単位含有量が4〜17質量%であり、かつホモポリマーを形成した場合にガラス転移点が150℃以上となる不飽和単量体(但しカルボン酸又はその塩を有する不飽和単量体を除く)由来の繰返し単位含有量が14質量%以下であり、オルガノポリシロキサンセグメントの数平均分子量が8000以上20万以下である、オルガノポリシロキサングラフトポリマー。
