Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable driving of a fan motor highly efficiently and detecting of the abnormality of the fan motor from the vehicle side.

SOLUTION: A system comprises: a motor control device 21 that includes a switching element 22 and converts DC power supplied from a high-voltage power source 4 into three-phase AC power and supplies a three-phase motor 3 with the power; a first control unit 24 for controlling the motor control device 21; an insulated CAN driver 82 that operates on power supplied from a low-voltage power source 5 and exchanges information with a vehicle-side vehicular ECU 6, a host to a vehicular cooling fan motor-inverter system 2; and an insulation unit 8 for electrically insulating between a low-voltage system having power supplied from the low-voltage power source 5 and a high-voltage system having power supplied from the high-voltage power source 4. Further, in the case of an abnormality being detected on the switching element 22, the first control unit 24 outputs abnormality information with which the vehicle-side vehicular ECU 6 is notified of an abnormality present in controlling the three-phase motor 3 via the insulated CAN driver 82.

【課題】高効率にファンモータを駆動でき、かつ、ファンモータの異常を車両側で検出すること。
【解決手段】スイッチング素子22を有し、高電圧電源4から供給される直流電力を三相交流電力に変換し、三相モータ3に電力供給するモータ制御装置21と、モータ制御装置21を制御する第1制御部24と、低電圧電源5から供給される電力によって作動し、車両用クーリングファンモータ・インバータシステム2の上位の車両側の車両側ECU6と情報を授受する絶縁型のCANドライバ82と、低電圧電源5から電力が供給される低電圧系統と、高電圧電源4から電力が供給される高電圧系統とを電気的に絶縁させる絶縁部8とを具備し、第1制御部24は、スイッチング素子22に異常が検出された場合に、絶縁型のCANドライバ82を介して、車両側ECU6に対して、三相モータ3の制御に異常がある旨を通知する異常情報を出力する。
