Abstract
(EN)

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quick and simple method for detecting asbestos; and to provide a method for screening a candidate for an agent for preventing or treating a disease for which asbestos is a causative or worsening factor.

SOLUTION: Asbestos in a sample can be quickly and simply detected by finding a protein capable of binding specifically to asbestos, allowing the protein or a fusion protein of the protein and a reporter protein to bind to asbestos in the sample, and then detecting the protein or the fusion protein having been bound to asbestos. Alternatively, a substance inhibiting the binding of actin to asbestos, which has been found out as a protein capable of binding specifically to asbestos, is a candidate for an agent for preventing or treating a disease for which asbestos is a causative or worsening factor.

【課題】迅速・簡便な石綿検出方法および石綿が病因または増悪因子となる疾病を予防または治療する薬剤の候補物質をスクリーニングする方法を提供する。
【解決手段】石綿と特異的に結合し得るタンパク質を見出し、当該タンパク質または当該タンパク質とレポータータンパク質との融合タンパク質を試料中の石綿と結合させ、石綿と結合した当該タンパク質または融合タンパク質を検出することにより、試料中の石綿を迅速・簡便に検出できる。また、石綿と特異的に結合し得るタンパク質として見出されたアクチンと石綿との結合を阻害する物質は、石綿が病因または増悪因子となる疾病を予防または治療する薬剤の候補物質となる。
