複数の行と列にされた画素群を有するパッシブ-マトリックス式エレクトロルミネッセンス・ディスプレイを制御する方法であって、入力画像信号を受信し;少なくとも第1の画像フィールドと第2の画像フィールドのための駆動信号を決定し;このパッシブ-マトリックス式エレクトロルミネッセンス・ディスプレイの少なくとも1つの列について、第1の画像フィールドの表示と第2の画像フィールドの表示の間に起こる画素の全容量性電荷の変化と相関する値を計算し;第1の画像フィールドまたは第2の画像フィールドにおいて駆動信号の少なくとも1つを調節して全容量性電荷の変化を補償し;調節された駆動信号を各画素に供給する操作を含む方法。
