Abstract
(EN)

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further ensure the use of SiC foam particularly within a muffler or particularly for the purpose of regeneration thereof by significantly improving the mechanical properties without making the specific surface area or the catalyst properties including a dual porosity mode disadvantageous, while maintaining the permeability of SiC foam medium.

SOLUTION: A silicon carbide foam for use as a catalyst medium is obtained by impregnating an organic foam with a silicon suspension in a resin to which a hardening agent has been added, incomplete cross-linking of the resin, carbonizing the organic foam and the resin, and vaporizing the silicon, which has high specific surface area of at least 5 m2/g and improved mechanical properties including compressive strength of more than 0.2 MPa.

【課題】 SiCのフォームの媒体の透過性を維持しながら、とくにその比表面積または二モード多孔性を始めとするその触媒特性を不利となることなくその力学特性を大幅に向上させることによって、とくに消音器内の、あるいは再生処理を目的とした、それらの使用をより確実にする。
【解決手段】 硬化剤を添加した樹脂内に珪素を懸濁することで有機フォームを含浸し、樹脂を不完全網状化し、有機フォームと樹脂を炭化し、珪素を気化することによって得られる、少なくとも5m2/gの高い比表面積と、0.2MPaを超える圧縮強度を始めとする、向上した力学特性を有する、触媒媒体としての用途のための炭化珪素のフォーム。
