電子および/または変換器アセンブリを介して、1つの歯または複数の歯を通じて振動を伝達するための方法および装置を、本願明細書に開示する。アセンブリは、着脱可能な口腔内装置内に、またはその上に取り付けて、接着して、または埋め込んで補聴器アセンブリを形成することができる。このような口腔内装置は、オーダーメイドのデバイスであってもよい。電子および変換器アセンブリは、直接的に、または受信器を通じて入力音を受信して、信号を処理および増幅し、処理した音を、歯に連結された、または上顎、下顎、または口蓋の骨構造のような他の骨構造に連結された振動変換素子を介して送信することができる。
