Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stop control device of an internal combustion engine capable of surely avoiding the stoppage of the internal combustion engine when an intake valve and an exhaust valve are in an overlapped state in which these both valves are open.

SOLUTION: After an ignition switch is turned off, the target opening THCMD of a throttle valve 3 is set according to a crank angle CA at a time when an engine rotational speed NE is lowered to a predetermined range (S12-S15). The opening of the throttle valve 2 is controlled so as to match the target opening THCMD, and an intake air amount is increased. The predetermined range of the engine rotational speed NE is set so that the intake air amount is increased before the start time (CAIS2) of the last intake stroke, before engine stop, of a cylinder which is under a compressive stroke when the engine is stopped.

【課題】 吸気弁と排気弁がともに開弁しているオーバラップ状態で停止することを確実に回避できるようにした、内燃機関の停止制御装置を提供する。
【解決手段】 イグニッションスイッチオフ後、エンジン回転数NEが所定範囲まで低下した時点におけるクランク角度CAに応じてスロットル弁3の目標開度THCMDが設定される(S12〜S15)。スロットル弁3の開度が目標開度THCMDと一致するように制御され、吸入空気量が増量される。エンジン回転数NEの所定範囲は、機関停止時に圧縮行程となる気筒における機関停止前の最後の吸気行程の開始時期(CAIS2)より前に、吸入空気量の増量が行われるように設定される。
