PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical catheter, of which disposition is detected.

SOLUTION: A probe 20 to be inserted into an examinee includes a far end 22 and a close end, and an electronic micro circuit. The micro circuit stores information related to calibration of the probe 20. The micro circuit stores calibration codes, and the calibration codes are coded, preferably. In addition to above features, or instead of above features, the micro circuit stores usage situation codes to regulate effectiveness of the probe 20 to a user of the probe 20 depending on the situation codes. The usage situation codes may preferably include an access control circuit which can change the usage situation codes to reduce the effectiveness of the probe 20, but not to increase it.

【解決手段】遠位端22及び近位端を有し、電子マイクロ回路を含み、そのマイクロ回路はプローブ20の較正に関する情報を格納している被験者の体内挿入用プローブ20。マイクロ回路は較正コードを格納し、較正コードは暗号化されているのが好ましい。以上の点に加えて、あるいは以上の点に代えて、マイクロ回路は使用状況コードを格納し、使用状況コードによりプローブ20の使用者に対するプローブ20の有用性を規制する。プローブ20は、使用状況コードを、プローブ20の有用性が減少するように変えることができるが増加するように変えることができないアクセス制御回路を含んでいるのが好ましい。
