Abstract
(EN)

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photon pair generator which improves the efficiency of generating a correlated photon pair in regard to a photon pair generation device for generating the correlated photon pair by hyperparametric scattering.

SOLUTION: A quantum well 4 is disposed in a resonator 2. Incident light irradiated to the resonator 2 from a light source 6 resonates on the resonator 2 and becomes a specified resonator mode. The quantum well 4 is disposed in a position where the intensity of electric field of light is enhanced by the resonator mode and, thereby, the efficiency of generating the correlated photon pair by hyperparametric scattering on the quantum well 4 is improved.

【課題】ハイパーパラメトリック散乱によって相関光子対を生成する光子対生成装置において、より相関光子対の生成効率を向上させることを可能とする光子対生成装置を提供する。
【解決手段】共振器2の内部に、量子井戸4を設ける。光源6から共振器2に照射された入射光は、共振器2において共振し、特定の共振器モードとなる。この共振器モードによって光の電場強度が高くなっている位置に量子井戸4を設けることによって、量子井戸4におけるハイパーパラメトリック散乱による相関光子対の生成効率を向上させる。
