PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extraction method of hexavalent chromium which is capable of attempting the safe use and abandonment of hexavalent chromium residual components and preventing the affects to environment pollution and human body by surely and inexpensively extracting toxic hexavalent chromium remaining in the surface or inner part of a chromium plating or chromate film without necessitating special and expensive equipment to prevent the elution of hexavalent chromium from a raw material to be treated.

SOLUTION: The method is to extract hexavalent chromium remaining in the raw material 3 to be treated. The raw material 3 to be treated having the film in which hexavalent chromium remains is allowed to contact with a liquid or particulate reducing agent 2. The hexavalent chromium is extracted from the film.

【課題】 特殊かつ高価な設備を要することなく、クロムめっきまたはクロメ−ト皮膜の表面または内部に残存する有害な六価クロムを確実かつ安価に抽出し、被処理素材からの六価クロムの溶出を阻止して、六価クロム残存部品の安全な使用や廃棄を図れ、環境汚染や人体への影響を防止できる、六価クロムの抽出方法を提供すること。
【解決手段】 被処理素材3に残存する六価クロムの抽出方法であること。
前記六価クロムが残存する皮膜を有する被処理素材3を液状または微粒子状の還元剤2に接触させる。
前記皮膜から六価クロムを抽出させる。
