PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell stack which can raise the temperature of cells at the end quickly when it is started at low temperature without the deterioration of battery performance during regular run.

SOLUTION: A volume difference per unit area is made between a neighborhood region 14A standing near a part connected to an output terminal 16 and other regions 14B and 14C in a current collecting plate 14. The other regions 14B and 14C are formed so that their volumes per unit area are smaller than that of the neighborhood region 14A.

【課題】 本発明は燃料電池スタックに関し、通常運転時の電池性能の低下を招くことなく低温起動時における端セルの早期の昇温を可能にする。
【解決手段】 集電板14において出力端子16が接続された部位の近傍領域14Aと、他の領域14B,14Cとの間に単位面積当たりの体積差を設ける。詳しくは、他の領域14B,14Cは近傍領域14Aよりも単位面積当たり体積を小さく形成する。
