PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CO2 recovery apparatus and method with further increased energy efficiency.

SOLUTION: This CO2 recovery apparatus comprises an absorbing tower 13 removing CO2 by bringing CO2-containing gas 11 into contact with CO2 absorbing liquid 12 and a regenerating tower 15 regenerating a rich solution 14 having absorbed CO2, and reuses a lean solution 16 from which CO2 has been removed in the regeneration tower 15, in the absorbing tower 13. The apparatus is also provided with a regenerating heater 18 at the vicinity of the bottom of the regenerating tower 15 for drawing out the recovered lean solution 16 to the outside and heat-exchanging with high temperature steam; and a steam condensate heat exchanger 21 provided in a rich solution supply pipe 20 supplying the rich solution 14 from the absorbing tower 13 to the regenerating tower 15, and heating the rich solution 14 with remaining heat of steam condensate 19 from the regenerating heater 18.

【解決手段】CO2を含有するCO2含有ガス11とCO2を吸収するCO2吸収液12とを接触させてCO2を除去する吸収塔13と、CO2を吸収したリッチ溶液14を再生する再生塔15と、該再生塔15でCO2を除去したリーン溶液16を吸収塔13で再利用するCO2回収装置であって、再生塔15の塔底部近傍に回収されたリーン溶液16を外部へ抜き出して高温スチーム17により熱交換する再生加熱器18と、吸収塔13から再生塔15にリッチ溶液14を供給するリッチ溶液供給管20に設けられ、前記再生加熱器18からのスチーム凝縮水19の余熱により該リッチ溶液14を加熱するスチーム凝縮水熱交換器21とを具備してなる。
