PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a virus antigen detection method which is suitable for treating many samples by a method wherein a sample which contains a virus is treated with a treatment solution which contains one out of an anionic surface-active agent, an amphoteric ionic surface-active agent, a nonionic surface-active agent and a protein denaturant.
SOLUTION: A virus as an object to be measured is a virus which forms virus particles having a structure which is constituted of a structure protein which contains genomic RNA or DNA and of a membrane protein or a lipid membrane surrounding the protein. A biological humor such as whole blood, plasma, serum, urine, saliva, a cerebrospinal fluid or the like and a liver tissue or the like are included in a sample to be measured. When a treatment agent which contains anionic surface-active agent such as SDS or the like is added to the sample to be measured, the virus is destroyed, an anticore antibody in the sample is denatured, and a core antigen in the sample is isolated. Alternatively, when an amphoteric ionic surface-active agent or a protein denaturant which displayed an action to destroy the higher-order structure of a protein is added in addition to the anionic surface-active agent, a denaturing action with reference to the solid-phase antibody of SDS is measured, and the sensitivity of the detection or the measurement of the virus is increased.
