Abstract
(EN)

PURPOSE: To provide a manganese dry battery in which a performance of the same degree as in the use of a toxic material such as mercury, cadmium or lead can be provided without using any toxic material.

CONSTITUTION: A zinc material obtained by adding 0.001-0.25wt.% of Ti or 0.002-0.500wt.% of Zr to a zinc alloy containing 0.004-0.75wt.% of In is used to form a dry battery zinc can 12, a separator 10 to which a paste containing 0.1-8wt.% of InCl3 is applied is arranged on the inner surface of the zinc can, a positive electrode mix 14 obtained by mixing an electrolyte having a ZnCl2 concentration of 35-50wt.% to manganese diozide and a conductive carbonaceous material such as acetylene black is filled in the inside of the separator, and a carbon rod 16 is inserted to the center of the positive electrode mix as a current collector.
