Abstract
(EN) The present invention comprises a plurality of fuel cells connected to one another in series and a reformer for reforming raw fuel. The reformed fuel from the reformer is supplied to a first stage of the plurality of fuel cells. The fuel cells in the first stage are equipped with a methane reaction suppression function whereby the reaction of the methane contained in the reformed fuel is more suppressed than at least one of the fuel cells in a second or further stage. In the fuel cell system where the plurality of fuel cells are disposed in series power generation efficiency can be improved by limiting a decrease in temperature caused by an endothermic reaction in a fuel cell of the first stage.
