ABSTRACT“Method and system for contextual-based task scheduling in electronic device”Embodiments herein provide a method for contextual-based task scheduling in an electronic device includes a multi-core processor. The method includes receiving, by a scheduler, a task from an application, wherein the task is tagged as interactive task. Further, the method includes verifying, by the scheduler, that the task is correctly tagged as interactive task. Further, the method includes determining, by the scheduler, whether an interactive session is triggered by the application. Further, the method includes automatically scheduling, by the scheduler, the task on at least one core of the multi-core processor using a fast resource allocation technique when the interactive session is triggered or using a lazy resource allocation technique when the interactive session is not triggered.FIG. 1
