(EN) AbstractThe invention discloses switch mechanism for four wheel and two wheel ternary link-steering system. The steering rod is fixed to the ternary link in the front that actuates the steering motion. One end each of the toe rods are also pivoted to the same ternary link and the other ends are connected to the wheel. The steering rod connected to the ternary link is further extruded such that bevel gear is attached below the ternary link, to the rod. The turning actuation given to the bevel gear by the steer rod transmits the motion horizontally to the bevel gear attached to the support rod which is a part of the steer box assembly. The steer box facilitates forward, neutral and backward shifts such that forward shift engages phase-in four wheel steering condition, backward shift engages phase-out four wheel steering condition and neutral shift engages only front two wheel steering condition. While any of the four wheel steering shifts is engaged, the motion from the support shaft is transmitted to the output shaft which stimulates the rear ternary link to displace vertically by application of bevel gears. The ternary link in turn results in steering of the rear wheels.
