Procédé et système d'imagerie par transillumination d'un milieu H éclairé par transparence par un faisceau F1. Un transducteur acoustique TA1 émet dans le milieu H une onde acoustique qui interfère avec le faisceau F1. La lumière traversant le milieu H a alors sa fréquence déplacée de la valeur de la fréquence de l'onde acoustique. Un dispositif de collimation A, dont le foyer objet est placé à l'intersection de l'onde acoustique et du faisceau lumineux F1, collecte la lumière diffusée par le milieu H.

Application : imagerie médicale.
