Un procedimiento para determinar la presencia de una o más proteínas de interés en una muestra, procedimiento que comprende: a) someter la muestra a condiciones que permiten la fragmentación de las proteínas en fragmentos peptídicos diana; y b) poner en contacto los fragmentos peptídicos diana con una matriz de agentes de captura inmovilizados, comprendiendo los agentes de captura inmovilizados aquellos que están diseñados para reconocer fragmentos peptídicos diana pronosticados de acuerdo con un protocolo de fragmentación seleccionado de las proteínas de interés; por lo que la unión de los fragmentos peptídicos diana con los agentes de captura es indicativa de la presencia de la proteína o proteínas en la muestra.
