A method (10) for applying a filter component for an analytical tomographic reconstruction technique, e.g. filtered backprojection, used in tomographic imaging is described. The method (10) comprises providing (11) an algebraic reconstruction algorithm for reconstructing a spatial representation of a volume of interest from a projection data set. It thereby takes into account a geometry of the tomographic imaging. The method also comprises applying (15) the algebraic reconstruction algorithm to a plurality of virtual projection data sets - corresponding with a basis vector of a basis for the projection space - to produce a plurality of reconstructed spatial representations and determining (16) the filter component using the plurality of reconstructed spatial representations, and applying the filter. Applying the analytical reconstruction technique with the determined filter component may inherit beneficial properties from the algebraic reconstruction algorithm, e.g. versatility and robustness to noise, without incurring the associated computational cost.

L'invention concerne un procédé (10) permettant d'appliquer une composante de filtre à une technique de reconstruction tomographique analytique, par exemple une rétroprojection filtrée, utilisée en imagerie tomographique. Le procédé (10) consiste à utiliser (11) un algorithme de reconstruction algébrique permettant de reconstruire une représentation spatiale d'un volume considéré à partir d'un ensemble de données de projection. Il prend ainsi en compte une géométrie de l'imagerie tomographique. Le procédé consiste également à appliquer (15) l'algorithme de reconstruction algébrique à une pluralité d'ensembles de données de projection virtuels - correspondant à un vecteur de base d'une base de l'espace de projection - afin de produire une pluralité de représentations spatiales reconstruites, à déterminer (16) la composante du filtre en utilisant la pluralité de représentations spatiales reconstruites, et à appliquer le filtre. L'application de la technique de reconstruction analytique comportant la composante de filtre déterminée peut hériter de propriétés utiles de l'algorithme de reconstruction algébrique, comme sa souplesse et sa robustesse au bruit, sans que cela conduise au coût calculatoire associé.
