Abstract
(EN) Disclosed herein is an oral hygiene composition comprising a styrene-maleic acid copolymer or terpolymer or salt thereof, wherein the copolymer or terpolymer or salt thereof has a polydispersity ranging from about 2 to about 14 and a minimum biofilm inhibitory concentration (MBIC) ranging from 0.001 ppm to 1000 ppm to reduce deposition of an oral biofilm on teeth or soft tissue. Also disclosed are processes for preparing a styrene-maleic acid copolymer or terpolymer or salt thereof.
(FR) L'invention concerne une composition d'hygiène buccale comprenant un copolymère ou un terpolymère styrène-acide maléique, ou un sel de celui-ci, le copolymère ou le terpolymère ou le sel de celui-ci présentant une polydispersité comprise entre environ 2 et environ 14, et une concentration minimale inhibitrice de biofilm (MBIC) comprise entre 0,001 ppm et 1 000 ppm pour réduire le dépôt d'un biofilm buccal sur les dents ou les tissus mous. L'invention concerne également des procédés de préparation d'un copolymère ou d'un terpolymère styrène-acide maléique, ou d'un sel de celui-ci.
