Abstract
(EN) A method for predicting a motion of an object is provided. The method includes determining a position of the object based on first time-series data of a position sensor mounted to the object and determining an orientation of the object based on second time-series data of at least one inertial sensor mounted to the object. Further, the method includes extrapolating a motion trajectory of the object based on a motion model using the position of the object and the orientation of the object, wherein the motion model uses a first weighting factor for the position of the object and a second weighting factor for the orientation of the object. Still further aspects of the present disclosure relate to determining ground truth moments in sensor streams and optimizing virtual reality views for a user.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de prédiction de mouvement d'un objet. Le procédé consiste à déterminer une position de l'objet sur la base de premières données chronologiques d'un capteur de position monté sur l'objet et à déterminer une orientation de l'objet sur la base de secondes données chronologiques d'au moins un capteur inertiel monté sur l'objet. En outre, le procédé consiste à extrapoler une trajectoire de mouvement de l'objet sur la base d'un modèle de mouvement à l'aide de la position de l'objet et de l'orientation de l'objet, le modèle de mouvement utilisant un premier facteur de pondération pour la position de l'objet et un second facteur de pondération pour l'orientation de l'objet. D'autres aspects encore de la présente invention concernent la détermination de moments de vérité sol dans des flux de capteurs et l'optimisation de vues de réalité virtuelle pour un utilisateur.
