(EN) DEVICE FOR MONITORING AND PROTECTING THE POWER SUPPLY OF AN ELECTRIC APPLIANCE, AND METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING SAID DEVICE
(FR) DISPOSITIF DE SURVEILLANCE ET DE PROTECTION DE L'ALIMENTATION D'UN APPAREIL ÉLECTRIQUE ET PROCÉDÉ DE MISE EN OEUVRE DE CE DISPOSITIF
Abstract
(EN) The invention relates to a device (1) for monitoring and protecting an electric appliance (3), mounted on a power line (19) in series between a power source (2) and said appliance, comprising: at least one voltage regulator (10) for adjusting a supply voltage of the appliance (3); at least one current limiter (11) coupled to the voltage regulator (10) and adapted for reducing the supply voltage of the appliance (3) if a supply current absorbed by the appliance exceeds an upper operating value; at least one controlled short-circuit (13, 14) adapted to be triggered when the input voltage exceeds a safety limit value higher than the upper operating value and for cutting a fuse (115) mounted in series between the power source (2) and the appliance (3); and computation and storage means (20) for generating a clock signal and storing an anomaly occurrence date and operational parameters of the appliance power supply in a non-volatile memory.
