An information processing apparatus is provided for communicating with another information processing apparatus in a different site by using at least one of a plurality of communication platforms. The information processing apparatus includes: a receiving unit configured to receive a transmission image that has been transmitted from the another information processing apparatus in the different site; a displaying unit configured to display on a display device the transmission image that has been received by the receiving unit; and a reading unit configured to read an image to be displayed from an image storing unit configured to store the image to be displayed. For at least a certain period while the one of the communication platform is being switched to another one, the displaying unit displays, in place of the transmission image, the image to be displayed that has been read by the reading unit.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de traitement d'informations qui communique avec un dispositif de traitement d'informations dans une autre base à l'aide d'au moins une plateforme de communication d'une pluralité de plateformes de communication. Le dispositif de traitement d'informations comprend : un moyen de réception destiné à recevoir une image transmise qui est transmise par le dispositif de traitement d'informations dans l'autre base ; un moyen d'affichage conçu pour afficher l'image transmise reçue par le moyen de réception sur un dispositif d'affichage ; et un moyen de lecture servant à lire l'image d'affichage à partir d'un moyen de mémorisation d'image permettant de mémoriser une image d'affichage. Le moyen d'affichage change d'image pour passer de l'image transmise à l'image d'affichage lue par le moyen de lecture, et affiche l'image d'affichage sur le dispositif d'affichage pendant au moins une certaine période au cours du changement de plateforme de communication.
