Abstract:
(EN) A system is provided for enabling correlating timeline information between a first media stream and a second media stream which are both associated with a common play-out timeline. The system comprises at least two stream monitors arranged for providing identification information for a media stream by obtaining a persistent identification of one or more media samples of the media stream, determining a timestamp value associated with the persistent identification, and providing the timestamp value and the persistent identification as the identification information. Furthermore, a correlation subsystem is provided for combining the identification information to enable correlating timeline information of the first media stream to timeline information of the second media stream by matching a first persistent identification of the first media stream to a second persistent identification of the second media stream and thereby matching a first timestamp value of the first media stream to a second timestamp value of the second media stream. The systemenables media synchronization to be provided for a plurality of devices in a segment of a media distribution network with less computational complexity and/or bandwidth.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système permettant de mettre en corrélation des informations entre un premier flux multimédia et un second flux multimédia qui sont tous deux associés à une chronologie de lecture commune. Le système comprend au moins deux contrôleurs de flux conçus pour fournir des informations d'identification pour un flux multimédia par obtention d'une identification persistante d'un ou de plusieurs échantillons multimédias du flux multimédia, par détermination d'une valeur d'estampille temporelle associée à l'identification persistante, et par fourniture de la valeur d'estampille temporelle et de l'identification persistante en tant qu'informations d'identification. L'invention concerne en outre un système de mise en corrélation permettant de combiner les informations d'identification de sorte à rendre possible une mise en corrélation des informations chronologiques du premier flux multimédia avec les informations chronologiques du second flux multimédia par mise en correspondance d'une première identification persistante du premier flux multimédia avec une seconde identification persistante du second flux multimédia, ce qui permet de mettre en correspondance une première valeur d'estampille temporelle du premier flux multimédia avec une seconde valeur d'estampille temporelle du second flux multimédia. Le système permet d'assurer une synchronisation multimédia pour une pluralité de dispositifs dans un segment d'un réseau de distribution multimédia avec une complexité de calcul et/ou une largeur de bande moindres.
