Abstract
(EN) A vascular implant comprises a structure defining a flow passage, the flow passage having a first end and a second end. The vascular implant is also provided with a skirt around at least a portion of the outer periphery of the structure. A portion of the skirt is fixed to the structure to form a seal with respect to the flow passage. The skirt is compliant such that, in response to a higher fluid pressure at one of the ends of the flow passage, the skirt is configured to be urged against the anatomy at the site in which the implant is located, to span between the outer periphery of the structure and said anatomy.
(FR) Un implant vasculaire comprend une structure délimitant un passage d'écoulement, ledit passage d'écoulement comportant une première extrémité et une seconde extrémité. L'implant vasculaire comporte également une jupe autour d'au moins une partie de la périphérie extérieure de la structure. Une partie de la jupe est fixée à la structure afin de former un joint hermétique par rapport au passage d'écoulement. La jupe est flexible si bien, qu'en réponse à une pression de fluide supérieure au niveau de l'une des extrémités du passage d'écoulement, la jupe est conçue pour être amenée au contact de l'anatomie du sujet au niveau du site d'implantation de l'implant, s'étendant ainsi de la périphérie extérieure de la structure jusqu'à ladite partie de l'anatomie du sujet.
