Abstract

A wireless network protocol (CORE) and related methods, systems, and circuits are disclosed that are capable of enhancing network performance. The protocol uses random linear network coding (RLNC) for intra-session coding in the network, while allowing nodes in the network to set up inter-session coding regions where flows intersect. Within the inter-session coding regions, combinations of coded packets associated with different unicast sessions are permitted. However, packets associated with multiple different unicast sessions are not allowed to be transmitted outside of the coding regions.

L'invention concerne un protocole de réseau sans fil (CORE) et des procédés, des systèmes et des circuits apparentés qui peuvent améliorer la performance du réseau. Le protocole utilise un codage de réseau linéaire aléatoire (RLNC) pour procéder à un codage intra-sessions dans le réseau tout en permettant à des nœuds du réseau d'établir des régions de codage inter-sessions où les flux s'entrecroisent. Dans les régions de codage inter-sessions, des combinaisons de paquets codés associés à différentes sessions de monodiffusion sont autorisées. Toutefois, des paquets associés à de multiples sessions de monodiffusion différentes ne sont pas autorisés à être transmis en dehors des régions de codage.
