Abstract
(EN) A method and apparatus for extending the driving capacity of a power management device are provided. The method involves determining an energy requirement for the operation of a power management device. Next, the method compares the energy requirement for the operation of a power management device with a capability of a first power device. If the energy requirement is greater than the energy requirement of the first power device, the energy is switched to a second power device of higher capacity. The apparatus includes: a first power device; a second power device connected in parallel to the first power device; a first inductor connected to the first power device and a capacitor connected to the first inductor; and a second inductor connected to a second power device and a capacitor connected to the second inductor.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil destinés à allonger la capacité d'entraînement d'un dispositif de gestion de puissance. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à déterminer un besoin en énergie pour le fonctionnement du dispositif de gestion de puissance. Le procédé consiste ensuite à comparer le besoin en énergie pour le fonctionnement d'un dispositif de gestion de puissance avec la capacité d'un premier dispositif de puissance. Si le besoin en énergie est supérieur au besoin en énergie du premier dispositif de puissance, l'énergie est commutée vers un deuxième dispositif de puissance de capacité supérieure. L'appareil selon l'invention comprend : un premier dispositif de puissance ; un deuxième dispositif de puissance connecté en parallèle au premier dispositif ; un premier inducteur connecté au premier dispositif de puissance et un condensateur connecté au premier inducteur ; ainsi qu'un deuxième inducteur connecté au deuxième dispositif de puissance et un condensateur connecté au deuxième inducteur.
